Loyal to the old format, the new “Touch Vision Talk” Newspaper keeps an elegant low key color code – black, white, nuances of grey and a dash of passionate red! My favorites since I started designing hardcover books in the early eighties! Something solid in there it seems… at least for me! Yeah… out of Africa we are… no wonder!

While I focussed more on Online Communication in the beginning – I shifted keyword-wise to Website Design… which obviously is Communication as well, but now it’s clear as that’s what I focus on in my profession.

Also, as we produce more and more media – meaning visuals in all forms and shapes – the reader has a clearer understanding of what “Touch Vision Talk” is all about and how it could benefit him or her in their individual online careers and in their ambitions to reach Google Top 10 rankings with captivating websites and blogs – tuned by Semiomantics with Semiomantics Web Design.

I have a weird error that has totally confused me… so my syndication of this post into my Newspaper Blog might shed some light where my little grey cells went into overkill or hibernation mode… no wonder with the storms and drizzles outside, no spring weather this is for a South African girl, born and bred – ek se!

Also, I should see many more posts under “Breaking News” and I don’t… which may be a cookie error… not on my PC but by my dear IP. This too shall pass. . .

And once I’m through the rest and no more headache, I may redesign my header logo. For the time being, I focus on basics and getting everything to work as it should.

Newspapers from South Africa

Like in any other country, Newspapers from South Africa abound, even online. Or especially, as the list of renowned South African Newspapers is long when doing a research on Google.

To stay ahead of the crowd or at least amongst the top players… and this with a constantly changing Internet, the integration of new technology and faster media streaming, it is crucial to look at one’s Online Publication with another perspective and see how well it does with such stiff competition and in view of the future. This is why the ‘old’ YORGOO Press – as you see it below in a real oldtimer version, went back into the Semiomantics Workshop and will come to live again at the Ycademy Seminar this coming weekend: newly tuned, adapted to the current virtual and media-oriented environment and very aggressive in terms of search engine optimization.

To give you the idea, let’s look how my article “Online Newspapers South Africa” did on Google Top 10…

Actually, when I saw the News competition, I thought “arghhhhhhhhhhhhh!”  12,100,000 of them hammered the few first pages on Google… see HERE. Given the fact that there’s no bigger abundance of regular News than in an official Newspaper – meaning it keeps coming in hard and clear all the time: content content content… which is the Google spider’s favourite to feast on… I didn’t think I’d have a chance… actually, I went to the beach!

Coming back from the beach after 2 hours with a fresh amazone spirit, I took a look… and WOW!… the article I wrote on my Author Blog on Semiomantics XO made it to page 2 already – and that’s before our Online Publishing Network even picked it up! How about that?

Vegetable Garden Design Hosting

After yesterday’s article on  “How to Grab Vegetable Garden Design” in terms of a domain name – the first important step after your decision to go for this topic and obviously based on what you have to offer or sell – the next step is to get smart, reliable and affordable Hosting.

Of course, with such stiff competition it’s a matter of consistently digging one’s way through to the top – and, if that’s where we want and need to be – to then work consistenly on keeping that position. That’s why it is tough on a good niche keyword to conquer those top positions that have been well established over years.

However, with Semiomantics it’s just a matter of time – short time as you see given the fact that this experiment – and meanwhile schoolcase – is just 3 days old!

I apologize to those readers who expect more expert info on Garden Design and Layout here – but firstly there are excellent specialists on this theme right on top of Google… and secondly that’s not our main topic!  Our passion and business is about bringing our customers to Google Top 10 with an elegant and attractive Web Design.

However, if Veggie Gardening or anything to do with Designing Gardens in any form and shape is your passion, YOU need to get to the top of Google to be seen – meaning page 1. This is where this article and schoolcase may be of prime interest to you.

What started off a day ago as a lone experiment has turned into a schoolcase on “How to grab Vegetable Garden Design” – meaning how to reach Google Top 10 if that was my target, my ambition.

Whether your plan is to target “Vegetable Garden Design” or any other keyword doesn’t matter; what matters is that you know exactly where your target audience is and what it types into Google to find what you have to offer. If say 1000 people search “Vegetable Garden Design” on Google every day and most people look at page 1, which contains 10 websites on the left (wait until Semiomantics sniffs this one out!) and some Google Ads on the right, you know where your website has to be – come hell or high water!

Once you’ve decided that you don’t want to pay non-stop for Google Ads but to get to the top on the left side, then your next step is to invest in a smart domain name.

If you look at the screenshot below that shows the evolution of my little articles within just a few hours, then see that my website – which has absolutely nothing to do with vegetables etc – has one big minus if compared with the others: they all have their keywords somehow within their domain name! They are smart! It does help… so if hitting the top in the veggie biz was my main ambition, guess what I would do first thing?

No magic here; just common sense.

2010 FIFA Official World Cup Kickoff Concert

Today – as beautiful singer Shakira arrived in South Africa – and as I listened to her WAKA WAKA for the 2010 Fifa Official World Cup Kickoff Concert – the fever grabbed me too!

Africa always does it!

Just watch the movie on its original site – CLICK THE PICTURE – and see an explosion of Joy and Rhythm by anyone, old or young!!! Feel it… see it on their faces, in their eyes, smiles, flying hair… their spontaneous yet flowing movements where Heaven and Nature fuse and nothing exists but music and dance!

WAKA WAKA … this is my Africa!

And what a generous and indicative gesture to have a non-South African sing the official opening song when all heavens will break lose in Johannesburg and Cape Town on Friday, 11th June 2010, at 4 pm!

Don’t count on me being anywhere else but… right there! Right where all the little flags are heading in one big wave right now – feel it! It’s HERE!

No matter who you are – rich or poor, white or green or black or gold, fat or thin, educated or not – once South Africans start singing and dancing time stands still… it becomes pure Energy in Unision, Joy, Speed and total Abandon…

I’ve lived it so many times… be it as a child on the farm, be it at Nelson Mandela’s inauguration as the new President of South Africa, be it at Cape Town Jazz Festivals or just simply underground, where music and rhythm crept through thick smoke and night and day fused into one – MAGIC!

It is an interesting and revelatory exercise; it’s like meeting the person – or rather the person’s eye – behind the digital camera, discovering the style, strengths and weaknesses from a different perspective while making a selection.

This week’s Digital Photography 2010 Workshop will focus on 5 important basic elements of Photography:

• Light (Where Light meets Shadow)
• Composition (Edges)
• Zoom

• Position (Frog’s or Bird’s Perspective).

For this purpose, we set up additional workshop galleries in our Semiomantics Evolution and it’s in every participant’s interest to go out and shoot photos, photos, photos! We can only improve by doing just that, learning from the experience and the results and improving a little each time as our understanding, knowledge and technical skill grow. If joy and passion are involved, it’s fun anyway!
